About Ashe Rose Comics
Created by Monia Ashibi, this series was born from a deep desire to help others conquer their demons, both seen and unseen. It also serves as a tribute to my late grandfather, who loved comic books and, above all, his family, as well as to my father, whose love, positivity, and unwavering faith continue to inspire me. Through Ashe Rose, I hope to share that strength with you.

What’s “Ashe Rose”?
“Ashe Rose” is a play on words, like rising from the ashes. To be honest, that name meaning is quite recent and mostly just a cool coincidence. “Ashe” comes from my middle name, Ashibi. While “Rose” was inspired by my father’s favorite flower to gift those he loved. It also happens to be the first name of two of my dear loved ones who have also passed on. The story itself an ongoing love letter in the form of a comic book series. This love letter is dedicated to those who have more fight in them despite the way the world may make them feel. You’re not alone.
how’d you do it?
The real question is “how did we do it?” It started as a journal as I battled with my own mental health. From there, I had a little more fun with it tied in with some belief. Eventually, I gained enough bravery to share it with the world as I continued to figure it out. Before I knew it, those who could relate didn’t hesitate to reach out. To my surprise, this included illustrators, photographers, brands, etc. On October 4th, 2021, Ashe Rose: Falter was fully funded on Kickstarter! We are forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
